We all love gangsters seeing them as romantic figures. The height of their influence was during Prohibition (1920-1933) when their pictures appeared on newspapers across the country.

Harriet Goodman Grayson is the author of “Accidental Gangster: Dutch Schultz and Me” based on true events about her bootlegger grandfather Goldy.

Her presentation on America’s Prohibition is a delightful step back in time  

It’s the story of a fisherman recruited by gangster Dutch Schultz to help him transport booze in those dangerous days – he walked a thin tightrope avoiding both the federal police as well as rival gangs

Meet the members of The Commission – Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky, Frank Costello as well as their mentor -- Arnold Rothstein -- the man who fixed the 1919 World Series

She is a graduate of Far Rockaway HS, Queens College with graduate degrees from NYU and University of Denver
